Gallery of our transformations....
This piece originally had a horrible vertical stripe paint job on it. It was all stripped down, primed, painted, and then the top and sides were decoupaged a beautiful black and white floral pattern. The top was then sealed using three coats of Polycrylic Finish.
This World Market Table was already a stunning piece however, the drop leaf sides were much darker than the main (square) portion of the table from years of fading. The bottom was left alone while the top received a fresh sanding, followed up by a custom stain mixture to match the existing base and many coats of Polyurethane. What a difference!
When I first laid eyes on this piece it was in rough shape. The original finish was cracked and peeling away all over. The whole piece was stripped, small repairs were made and then primed and painted this pretty pink color! One lucky little girl now owns this bed and will for many years to come!
This chest wasn't in the worst shape to begin with. It was just dated in its decor. Some fresh paint, a fun gold decal on the sides and a few coats of polyurethane on the already stained top completely refreshed this piece.
This table was another piece that came with a usable base but the top left little to be desired. I applied wall decals in a random swirly pattern and painted the top a lighter shade of grey. When I peeled up the decals the darker charcoal finish was below and added much needed style and contrast. The whole top was then distressed, and sealed using Annie Sloan Wax. One of my favorites for sure!
This beauty was anything but when I first laid eyes on her. Someone had attempted a refurb but gave up once they realized how much work it is. It was partially stripped on the top but nothing else had been touched. The drawers, body and all that amazing detail was buried under three horrible layers of paint. It was all stripped and rightfully returned to its original glory. I finished the piece off with some super fun Lion Head drawer pulls to complete the look.
This poor table was in really sad shape. The top was so faded I had no idea this beautiful inlay even existed on the top until I got it home to work on it. The cross support was broken off and needed to be repaired and touches of wood glue were needed here and there. Once that was complete. I stained the base black and left the top natural with only a few coats of Polyurethane to breathe new life into this piece. What a change from before!
The top to this table was warped and beat up so I decided to do away with it all together and instead created this stunning slate design top from scratch. Such a better look!
The owner of this chest contacted me after she found this piece on Etsy.com. It had been decoupaged in a vintage inspired postcard paper which she didn't care for. She brought it to me and I stripped down all the decoupage, stained and polyurethane'd the top, painted, and distressed the base and doors, then finished it all off with Annie Sloan Light and Dark wax and some bits of gold highlighting. What a transformation!
